Our Father, LORD, and Creator, we honor your name which is the name above all names. We give thanks to You, for the provisions You have made for your people’s benefit – both spiritually in Jesus Christ and in our physical lives though Your Holy Spirit. The world is full of troubles but You make a way through its maze. You have not removed us from the problems that face the Earth, instead you ask us to remain as a light to those in darkness.

LORD, I apologize for those who call themselves after Your name, but live after the world. They proclaim and worship their religion while claiming Your grace. They follow their religion of selfish desires and turn their backs on Your instructions. They speak as if You were important to them, but teach the thoughts of men instead of Your intended meaning given in the Bible. Their standing before you is the same as the atheists because they do not believe You when you speak. They act as if You are powerless to change the condition of the Earth, while they work against You and Your expressed will.

The unbelievers Lord will claim You do not exist. Others proclaim you are uninterested or too judgmental. They do not know Your love, even though You set the example of love on the cross. You do love them with an everlasting, self sacrificing love. Many love the idea of Your loving them, but refuse to show love in return. They do not understand that because of love, You must act against those who act destructively and hinder Your plan, which brings peace and good will to all men. Thank You for the mercy You have displayed so far and the opportunity You give to repent and live according to Your design.

Even those who truly yield to You and long for Your presence are not demonstrating Your likeness the way we should. No wonder the atheists work so hard against You. Forgive us and the obstacles we put in You way. Give us Your thoughts as a light in the darkness of world events. As You said, this is a dead time and mankind will get increasingly more perverse and obstinate to the point where love demands You to act – resulting in Your judgment of them.

Even though they will not listen and turn from their wicked ways, make the decision they must make as clear as possible. Maybe some will yet listen.
